Synopsis

I Have Never Been on an Airplane follows the lives of three Kosovars in their early
twenties who have never travelled beyond the Balkans due to visa restrictions. On
their coming-of-age journeys, the story focuses on their struggles of living in an
isolated country, where their interactions with the rest of the world are confined to
the online realm. Amidst the chaos of rapid development and unplanned
architecture, the documentary also captures their personal growth alongside the
first skyscrapers in Prishtina, providing a poignant reflection on the challenges of
finding themselves in a city on the brink of transformation.
