The 14th edition of the Pristina International Film Festival – PriFest started with the national premiere of the film “Vera dreams of the sea” directed by Kaltrina Krasniqi, written by Doruntina Basha, and produced by Shkumbin Istrefi.
“It is very good to see that the city where I grew up is here tonight. I come from Pristina and my name is Kaltrina. This is the cinema where I saw the first movie in my life and it happened when I was six only. I came with my school at that time. And today I am forty years old and I am coming back to this cinema again. A year ago, “Vera dreams of the sea” had its premiere at the Venice Festival and right now I feel very glad to finally share it with my city audience. Thus, it is obvious that I got emotional. We have been traveling around the world, but it is very special to share it with you tonight” said the film director.
“Vera dreams of the sea” is part of the competition on PriFest among many other local and international films and winner in many festivals around the world such as Grand Prix in Tokyo International Film Festival.
From September 20 to 25, 2022, PriFest will be a gathering place for local and international filmmakers, and the beginning of new collaborations.
