“The Hill when the Lionesses Roar” and “Looking for Venera” films won awards, while “Displaced” received special recognition in Sarajevo

Last night, at the Sarajevo Film Festival, were awarded three films produced in Kosovo. Actress of “The Hill when the Lionesses Roar” film directed by Luana Bajrami: Flaka Latifi, Era Balaj and Uratë Shabani, won the Sarajevo’s heart as the best actress. Meanwihile the film called “Looking for Venera” directed by Norika Sefa, won the Special Prize (Gender Equality Promotion Prize). On the other side, “Displaced” film directed by Samir Karahoda, received special recognition by the Short Film Category Jury.

These awards represent the continuation of international success to these films. On February this year “Looking for Venera” film premiered at Rotterdam Festival, where it won the Jury Special Prize. Later on July, “Displaced” short film and “The Hill when the Lionesses Roar” feature length film, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
