Kosovo opens its stand at European Film Market – Berlinale

Kosovo Cinematography Center continues its presence in one of the largest film markets – European Film Market at Berlinale 2018.

The film market opened yesterday, 15 February, and KCC is sharing the stand with Albanian National Center of Cinematography, where international film professionals have the opportunity to get updated regarding Kosovo’s film industry and vice versa.

In the European Film Market, dozens of meetings with representatives of film funds, international producers, festival programmers, distributors etc. have already been confirmed. At the EFM, KCC will promote 61 films in different phase of production. Such as: ‘The Flying Circus’ by Fatos Berisha, ‘Hana’ by Ujkan Hysaj, ‘Sunny Hill’ by Blerim Gjoci, ‘The Field of Blackbirds’ by Arzana Kraja, ‘Aga’ by Lendita Zeqiraj, ‘Familje’ by Durim Kryeziu, ‘Troubled Skies’ by Anton Ndreca, ‘The Marriage’ by Blerta Zeqiri, ‘Ajo’ by More Raça, ‘Scream’ by Korab Lecaj, ‘Drita’ by Rita Krasniqi, ‘Wisdom’ by Bujar Berisha, ‘Actors of Cannes’ by Mentor Spahiu etc.

On this year’s edition, two kosovan coproductions supported by KCC will be screened at European Film Market. ‘The Marriage by Blerta Zeqiri and ‘The Return’ by Kastriot Abdyli.

Also three kosovan actors will be present in Berlinale, Andi Bajgora, Florist Bajgora, Arbresha Grabovci Nixha with their film ‘Kiem Holijanda’ by Sarah Veltmeyer. The film will have its premiere in the program ‘Generation 14plus’.

In the upcoming days we expect the Minister of Culture Youth and Sports Mr. Kujtim Gashi for a visit at KCC’s stand in Berlinale.
