Synopsis

SHEFIK, a delivery driver, borrows money to treat his seven-year-old daughter
GRESA, who suffers from leukemia. Still short of money, Shefik takes a loan from
the bank, but after failing to repay it, the bank takes away his home and interrupts
Gresa’s treatment. Shefik pays smugglers to take them to Western Europe. On the
way, they meet MAMER, who’s seeking revenge for his murdered daughter. As the
migrants cross the Tisa River they evade the Border Patrol, but only Gresa and
Mamer survive from drowning. Mamer and Gresa reach Sweden as father and
daughter. Gresa gets cured and Mamer’s pursuit of vengeance finally ends.
