At the 59th edition fo the International Film Festival of Thessaloniki which will be held from the 1st to the 11th of November, Kosovo will be represented by two films; "Cold November" by director Ismet Sijarina and "Fence" by director Lendita Zeqiraj.
Well known directors alongisde debutants will treat a series of challenging themes at the core of this years festival with 15 feature and short films.
Both films will be part of the "Balkan Survey" section curated by Dimitris Kerkinos. "Balkan Survey" selects the best examples of filmic productions from the Balkan region. Well known directors as well as debutant directors treat a series of challenging themes at the core of this years edition with 15 films including both features and shorts. "Balkan Survey" also presents the "Before the Wave" program with 8 iconic films from the directors considered the predecessors of new wave Romanian cinema.
Thessaloniki Festival is one of the oldest and most important festivals in the Balkans where films from Kosovo were also in the program in the past. Films like "Three Windows and a Hanging", "Home Sweet Home", Like a Dog in the Vineyard", etc.
