During his visit to the Cannes film festival, Kujtim Gashi, the Minister of Culture, took part in an event organized by Eurimages, the largest film fund in Europe.

The minister had a meeting with the director of Eurimages; Robert Ola, with whom he discussed the procedures for Kosovo's application in this organization and emphasized the importance that the Republic of Kosovo's membership in this organization would have.

Likewise the Minister had met with representatives from other member states of Eurimages such as Jana Karaivanova from Bulgaria and Diomedes Nikita from Cyprus.

It's expected that Kosovo will shortly apply to join this european organization which will have a great impact on the development of Kosovo's cinematography and international coproductions.

The Minister of Culture's visit to Cannes converys the great commitment that the Ministry of Culture has to supporting Kosovo cinematograpy.
