"Drums of Resistance" of Mathieu Jouffre and Besa Luci had its International Premiere in Sarajevo Film Fest

After the very succesful national premiere at “Dokufest” where it got awarded with Special Mention Balkan New Comer, presented by Balkan Documentary Center, “Drums of Resistance” continued its path to Sarajevo where it had its international premiere yesterday (14th of August, 2016) and is competing among many other participating movies there. The succes of the national premiere was followed by the succes of the international one where the audience was very interested, emotional and had positive comments towards the movie.

We are very happy to at least have made a small step towards the great common goal of not letting this very important period of our people’s history be erased by the collective memory. Based on the present audience in both the national and the international premiere, we consider that the aim of the documentary is slowly taking its shape and has reached its influence.

“Drums of Resistance” is a documetary realized with the financial support of Cinematographic Center of Kosovo, QKK, Culture For All - Phase III, Hearterfact Foundation and the Municipality of Prishtina. Its narrative reveals through informal conversations between people of different ages and backgrounds who from different dimensions and points of views confess the parallel reality established in Kosovo during 1990s after the application of the segregative policies and the apartheid that became an imposed norm by the regime of that time in Kosovo.
